WBBM Newsradio: Anxiety in the Schools

CIS of Chicago CEO Jane Mentzinger and Senior Director of Intensive Student Supports Lo Patrick talked with Craig Dellimore of WBBM about their observations now that Chicago Public Schools students are back in the school buildings full-time. Jane and Lo shared concerns our school-based team have reported, including anxiety and stress among students, behavior issues, and grief. They also discussed how CIS of Chicago is supporting students. CIS school-based staff members are meeting with students individually, leading groups, and providing support to teachers as everyone readjusts to in-person learning.
