Senior Director of Intensive Student Supports, Lo Patrick, chatted with Free Spirit Media about how CIS of Chicago is supporting students this fall. CIS’s school-based team is building “caring, developmental relationships with students,” Patrick said, to help students develop positive coping strategies post-pandemic.
“We know it’s important to express care. It’s important to provide support. It’s important to encourage growth,” Patrick said. “It’s important to share power with students.”
CIS of Chicago’s support aligns squarely with Chicago Public Schools’ Healing-Centered Framework, which focuses on the collective wellness of students, families, teachers, administrators, and partners.
