Mentoring Programs

Several of our funding partners have furthered their impact on the lives of students by participating in our volunteer program. Our flagship volunteer program, InspireU, was launched by Capital One and pairs students from our CPS partner schools with one or more adult mentors.

InspireU mentors, who are vetted according to full CPS protocol, meet with students at their office each month for lunch and structured conversation. Through the program, students learn more about professional work settings and explore a range of important college and career topics, including learning styles, goal-setting, and interpersonal skill-building.

During the 2018-2019 academic year, 26 students and 38 mentors participated in InspireU. Mentors logged 370.5 hours, students 315 hours.
