CIS of Chicago Chief Resource Officer Marianne Woodward penned an op-ed to Crain’s Chicago Business, sharing her thoughts on nonprofits and their need for financial support during the COVID-19 pandemic. “For many nonprofits operating amid tough economic times, the need for their services increases even as their revenue decreases,” she said.
And while the way in which CIS of Chicago builds relationships has changed in this period of social distancing, the need for staying connected — and supporting Chicago youth — has not changed. Marianne issued a call for local business leaders and policy makers to recognize the fragile state of the nonprofit sector and to continue advocating on their behalf.
