CIS of Chicago’s Chief of Innovation and Communications, Bartholomew St. John, chatted with WBBM’s Nancy Harty about his organization’s growing work in helping CPS students and families access essential needs items like hygiene products and school supplies.
During the 2021-22 academic year alone, about 8,600 families benefitted from these types of resources. St. John expects that trend to continue this year.
