Sponsors & Donors

The work we do in Chicago public schools helps keep students in school and on track to graduate. It has a data-driven impact. We leverage community resources efficiently and focus on proven programs.

For less than $50 per student, we are able to achieve important results in improving social-emotional health, physical health, arts enrichment, and college and career readiness. All of this comes together to keep students in school and on track to graduate prepared for success.

This combination of efficiency and effectiveness appeals to our sponsors and donors. They view their donations as investments – in our work, in the students of Chicago, and in the city of Chicago.

Our current partners encompass leading foundations, civic-minded corporations, and caring individuals. Their generous support allows us to serve the students of Chicago, which serves the greater good as well.

Donor Profile: GCM Grosvenor

GCM Grosvenor Logo

CIS of Chicago is thrilled to feature GCM Grosvenor as a partner in our work with Chicago’s public-school students in the 2023-24 school year. For the past 8 years, GCM Grosvenor has been a gracious supporter of our work, allowing us to support thousands of students, helping them stay in school and on track to graduate high school prepared for success.

GCM Grosvenor is a global alternative asset management solutions provider. A leader in business and philanthropy, they focus their charitable efforts on community support and education. In 2020, GCM Grosvenor hosted an Inspiring Futures event for students from George Washington High School.

Inspiring Futures is a program that invites a group of CIS of Chicago students to corporate offices for a mentoring experience and opportunity to explore different career paths. This event at GCM Grosvenor allowed students from George Washington High School the chance to connect with professionals in the field and visualize opportunities for their future. CIS of Chicago is so appreciative of GCM Grosvenor’s support.

Donor Highlight: Paul M. Angell Family Foundation

Paul M. Angell Family Foundation logo

We are honored to feature the Paul M. Angell Family Foundation, a leader in institutional philanthropy. The Foundation’s mission is to advance society through the performing arts, conservation of the world’s oceans, and social impact. The mission of the Foundation’s grantmaking in Social Impact is to promote equitable, safe, and thriving communities, particularly for ALAANA (African, Latino/a, Asian, Arab, and Native American) people living in historically disinvested communities through the priority areas of Education, Economic Empowerment, and Justice.

CIS of Chicago is grateful for the generosity of the Paul M. Angell Family Foundation, which is helping us to expand our evidence-based programming across Chicago. With support from The Foundation, we are connecting high impact resources at 238 schools, to reach students who might otherwise have access to these vital supports. At 38 of these schools, we are also providing intensive case management services to students, providing counseling, mentoring, social-emotional learning supports, and more.

We thank the Paul M. Angell Family Foundation for their support of our mission to surround students with a community of support, empowering them to stay in school and achieve in life.
