Once again this year, CIS of Chicago co-sponsored the Do The Write Thing Challenge in Chicago. About 800 students from schools across the city expressed their views on violence prevention through powerful writing.
On May 7, 100 of these exceptional students were recognized for their contributions. The highlight of an evening filled with highlights was when two student authors in attendance – Rylie and Beautiful – were named Chicago’s Do The Write Thing ambassadors for 2024-2025.
They will travel to Washington, D.C. this summer to meet up with Do the Write Thing ambassadors from other cities and share their powerful essays and insights with lawmakers and political influencers.
